(NEWCASTLE, WA) - Byte Brothers, Inc. has announced that on March1, 2002, it acquired the Qualtec security business from the Esselte Corporation. Byte Brothers, located in Newcastle, Washington, has assumed all manufacturing and marketing for the Qualtec brand.

Byte Brothers has assumed the manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and technical support for all Qualtec products, and now provides Qualtec-branded custom security products such as keyed-alike and master-keyed lock options as well as custom security cables and kits for all customers.

Byte Brothers and Esselte have jointly notified customers of this acquisition and are working with customers to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Clark Security Products, a San Diego, CA based wholesale distributor has 13 locations across the country and stocks products from over 350 manufacturers ranging from key blanks, to door hardware, to CCTV equipment, to biometric access control devices and offers business building programs to help security professionals grow their skills and their businesses.

The Clark Security "SecureRite" program refers non-security professional companies or individuals to a nation-wide network of 800+ dealers who provide professional security solutions and on-site installation. "Becoming a Clark Security distribution partner is a perfect fit for the Qualtec product line. Foremost, it allows their "SecureRite" dealer base to readily utilize our customizable product option – so these dealers and installers can configure the exact security solution needed for their customers.
