The armored cable technology challenge: Make a hacksaw and cutter resistant cable kit sized suitably for computer security. To accomplish this, we first employ a steel cable comprised of 133 individual strands. A series of hardened sleeves are then threaded on the cable, creating the tough armor jacket. To maintain flexibility, up to 80 or more of the armored sleeves are used. The cable is completed with hardened cable ends. Finally, to protect furniture from marring, a coating is applied. Actual cable color is black.

The Armored Kit Technical information

Armored cable (5', 1.5m). Metal jacketed cable provides extra protection from a thieve's cutting tools (hacksaw, cutters). .5" (13mm) diameter.

Super Bond Plate (Large, 2"x4",5x10cm). The extra large Super Bond mounting surface and long cable tunnel unique to this plate, provides the toughness necessary to accompany the armored cable. Putty colored. Mounted with super tough, liquid Super Bond adhesive.
